Pictures In The Park 2018 promises to be an outstanding event and a highlight in the Basingstoke Festival 2018 Programme. The open air cinema series, delivered by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, will continue to build on the success of the 2017 sell-out showing of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice to a picnic crowd in War Memorial Park.

Widely tipped to be a sell-out, Basingstoke Festival 2018 outdoor cinema event Pictures In The Park will be showing a one-off screening of the 1987 classic, ‘Dirty Dancing’. Written by Elanor Bergstein, Dirty Dancing was the first movie to sell over a million copies on home video. The iconic soundtrack won both the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Original Song and a further Grammy for Best Duet. Owing to the popularity of the event in 2017, a second night has been added to this year’s programme. On Friday 6 July 2018 a screening of 2018 Blockbuster ‘The Greatest Showman’ starring Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron will also be shown in War Memorial Park .

Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
