About The Festival

The Basingstoke Festival is the council’s strategy to showcase its cultural organisations and the wealth of community organisations engaged in a broad range of cultural pursuits.

The festival highlights what already happens in the borough and also as the festival grows will have the potential to leverage additional funding, sponsorship and income to boost the cultural offering and maximise the investment coming into the borough. 

There is also an opportunity through the festival to attract national and international arts activity that will not only stimulate partnerships with local arts organisations but also provide expanded opportunities to residents and businesses.

More importantly it is an opportunity for the borough to attract visitors and enhance its reputation and helping to improve the image of Basingstoke and the region.
