Military Life during the Napoleonic Wars

Military Life during the Napoleonic Wars

The Napoleonic Wars were a series of conflicts fought between France and a number of European nations between 1799 and 1815. Jane Austen’s first 4 novels were written during this time and many of her characters were members of the military. Using replica uniform to illustrate his talk, Edward Cull, an avid living history enthusiast, will give an insight into what life may have been like at this time for those who joined the army and how day to day life would have been affected. With Coldstream Guards 1815
